Summary:
The RF Test Technician is responsible for the tuning and testing of high-reliability RF/microwave power amplifiers, ensuring that the procedures in use guarantee quality, reliability, repeatability, and efficiency of all products in production.
The RF Test Technician will perform basic circuit analysis and troubleshooting on components and assemblies.
This role will continually improve quality in products and processes, ensuring all operations are safe and ergonomically considered.
The RF Test Technician will need to read and understand engineering, process, assembly and traveler documentation and be comfortable working with and communicating with various engineers and managers.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Tuning and testing of RF/microwave power amplifiers at X, Ku and Ka-bands Expertise with handling, tuning and testing open chip semiconductor devices Ability to test various RF/microwave products from the development phase and into production Must have frequent interaction with various relevant departments Insure that any necessary ECO or Corrective Actions have been initiated Monitor and ensure work related and safety procedures are followed Ensure high standards of housekeeping in the production areas Attend various meetings; production, engineering, scheduling, safety, training, etc.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of direct experience Know and understand IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, -750, -1580 Experience with open chip semiconductor devices Know and understand ESD procedures Experience with small to medium RF parts and components Proficient with the use of lab equipment; spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, etc.
Skilled in all manufacturing operations; soldering, wire bonding, die attach, machining, plating, PCBAs, etc.
Knowledge of various materials and processes; metals, ceramics, electronics, thermoplastics, semiconductors, etc.
Knowledge in the use of epoxies and bonding materials Knowledge of manufacturing equipment; reflow oven, curing oven, pick and place, DAP furnace, cleaning, etc.
Wire bonding skills Skilled at working under a microscope Skilled with all types of hand tools and micro-tools Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Self-motivated and results-oriented Ability to work in a fast paced environment Sense of ownership and responsibility Education, Experience and/or Certifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Technical or college diploma a plus Minimum of 2 years of direct experience Language and/or Communication Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions Mathematical Skills:
