On-Call Medical (Research) Assistant

WCCT Global a full-service, pharmaceutical contract research organization (CRO) currently has on-call opportunities available for Medical (Research) Assistants. The successful candidates will perform a variety of duties involved in the collection, compilation, and documentation of clinical research data including but not limited to the following:
Performs basic medical front office duties, including but not limited to, welcoming study participants, answering or referring inquiries, and recording and/or collecting study participant information.
Performs and completes study procedures including but not limited to vital signs, electrocardiogram, blood collection, meal distribution, pulmonary function tests, check in/out of volunteers, etc.
Resolves queries in timely manner.
Ensures availability of study participant's information by accurately filing and/or retrieving study participant records in a timely manner.
Follows all study and non-study regulations including, but not limited to Patient/Subject Privacy (HIPAA), OSHA, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and department specific Work Instructions.
Assists with preparation and setup of work area for study procedures. Maintains assigned work area in a clean and safe condition. Follows proper safety and emergency policies and procedures as set forth by WCCT.
Cross trains on the Research Staff Station Desk.
Required to work variable shifts including morning, midday, night and weekends.
May travels to other WCCT worksites within Southern California as needed.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor or manager.
Qualifications (include but are not limited to):
High School diploma and Medical Assistant Certification or Bachelor's Degree in health science related field is required. Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or Research Assistant preferred.
Must have the ability to work variable shifts including mornings, midday, nights, and/or weekends.
Should have a demonstrated customer focus, effective organizational skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Current BLS certification and Plebotomy Technician License (CPT1) are necessary.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
