Evaluation Engineer/ Sr Tech - C
Evaluate products and support project management.
Responsibilitieso Test, confirm and report bench and field evaluation data on samples and competitor products o Bench and field testing of AM/FM/WB and SXM Tuners, Navigation, Bluetooth (HFP, A2DP, AVRCP), iPod, USB Audio/Video, Amplifiers, Speakers, Sub Woofers and other in-vehicle product functionso Propose changes to test procedures, methods and equipment as neededo Support and assist Clarion group on their technical activitieso Study and upgrade job related technical information and skillso Liaison between Clarion group and suppliers as requestedo Propose necessary test equipment to purchase, test equipment repair, components/parts to purchase.
o Sample software flashing/upgrading and minor hardware modifications to samples as required.
o Support and assist Clarion group on technical activities when so requestedo Assist CCA Product Planning and Quality Assurance when so requestedo Study and test emerging technologiesQualificationso High School diplomao Degree in Engineering, Electronics or related technical field preferredo Minimum three years' experience evaluating in-vehicle electronic productso Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)o Email program (Lotus Notes preferred)o Must possess a valid driver license as vehicle travel is requiredo Familiar with vehicle electronics, design and product integration o Familiar with Clarion Car and Marine product specification and operationo Ability to judge product specification and evaluation datao Experience in the use and evaluation of AM/FM/WB and SXM Tuners, Navigation, Bluetooth (HFP, A2DP, AVRCP), iPod, USB Audio/Video, Disc, Cameras, Amplifiers, Speakers, Sub Wooferso Experience using test equipment/programs such as Audio Precision, LMS, ATS, SMITE/MIMOSA, RF Signal Generators, CAN Bus tools, Oscilloscopes and Multimeterso Ability to research new technologies and evaluation procedureso Ability to read electronic schematicso Mandarin reading/speaking/writing a plus.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
