Receptionist Customer Service

The Receptionist and Customer Service Representative operates multiple switchboards and maintains a positive, "can do" attitude at all times. Must be familiar working with SAP software. In addition to the Receptionist function, this position also processes orders and completes other related duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Receive and process incoming calls and orders for products to include providing of accurate information to customers of receipts, shipping dates, delays and handling customer complaints
2. Answer a multi-line switchboard and route appropriate calls to the customer service department
3. Process employee purchases and credit card orders
4. Communicate with Credit Department for credit approvals
5. Check inventory levels, research purchase orders status and trace shipments in route
6. Inform customers by mail or telephone of order information, such as shipping dates, and any anticipated delays
7. Process account invoices must be familiar working with SAP software a must.
8. Calculate and quote shipping rates, investigate and resolve customer complaints
9. Other duties as assigned

1. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
2. Ability to handle customer complaints and identify solutions to problems that align to Company policies
3. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
4. Must be detail oriented, have a high degree of accuracy, and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
5. Must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
6. Must have general office skills including utilization of office equipment
7. PC skills are required, including above average skills with Excel, Windows, Word, Outlook and SAP
8. Must possess a positive and friendly demeanor
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Two to three years of receptionist or customer service experience in a corporate environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
